11 of Broadway's Elphabas Sang 'Defying Gravity' Together & The Ending Is Truly Epic (Video)

Shoshana Bean did something pretty epic for the virtual concert fundraiser she organized to support the high school she attended!

The Broadway star and singer was the second actress to play Elphaba in the musical Wicked and she gathered 10 other actresses who played the role to sing the act one finale number “Defying Gravity” with her.

Shoshana and the ten other women – Idina Menzel, Stephanie J. Block, Eden Espinosa, Jessica Vosk, Lindsay Mendez, Alexia Khadime, Julia Murney, Rachel Tucker, Kerry Ellis, and Lindsay Pearce – each sang a snippet from the song and then they all performed the final “ahhh” one after another.

The concert also featured performances from Cynthia Erivo, Jeremy Jordan, and student performers from across the Beaverton School District.

Kacey Musgraves is gorgeous in black lace while striking a pose at The Hollywood Reporter & Jimmy Choo Celebrate The Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood held at the Avra Beverly Hills Estiatorio on Tuesday (March 12) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 30-year-old Grammy-winning singer was joined at the event by Olivia Munn, Mahershala Ali, If Beale Street Could Talk‘s Kiki Layne, singing duo Chloe X Halle, Tony winner Lindsay Mendez and Jimmy Choo creative director Sandra Choi.

Stylists Zerina Akers, Van Van Alonso, Sandra Amador, Wayman Bannerman, Kollin Carter, Erica Cloud, Rebecca Corbin-Murray, Tom Eerebout, Chloe Hartstein, Micah McDonald, Samantha McMillen, Jessica Paster, Sam Ratelle, Ade Samuel, Elizabeth Stewart, Ilaria Urbinati, Karla Welch, Ashley Weston, Jeanne Yang, Avo Yermagyan, Rob Zangardi, were also in attendance.

The Hollywood Reporter‘s annual issue featuring the list of this year’s most powerful stylists was revealed at the dinner, and will be available on newsstands on March 13.

Carousel's Lindsay Mendez Wins for First Time at Tony Awards 2018!

Lindsay Mendez cannot contain her excitement while showing off her Tony in the press room at the 2018 Tony Awards held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday (June 10) in New York City.

The 35-year-old actress, who has been a favorite of Broadway fans for years, won her first award at the event. She picked up Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her work in Carousel.

During her speech, Lindsay brought up how she was encouraged to change her name when she started acting, but she’s grateful to work in a community that accepts diversity.

Also pictured inside is Lindsay‘s co-star Renee Fleming, who was nominated in the same category.

Tina Fey & Andrew Garfield Win at Drama Desk Awards!

Tina Fey and Andrew Garfield show off their trophies in the press room at the 2018 Drama Desk Awards held at Town Hall on Sunday night (June 3) in New York City.

Tina won the award for Outstanding Book of a Musical for writing the script to Mean Girls. She was joined at the event by the show’s nominated cast members Kate Rockwell, Ashley Park, and Grey Henson, as well as Barrett Wilbert Weed.

Andrew won the award for Outstanding Actor in a Play for Angels in America. He was joined by cast members Nathan Lane, who won Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play, as well as Denise Gough and James McArdle.

SpongeBob SquarePants stars Ethan Slater and Gavin Lee both won awards, as did Carousel‘s Jessie Mueller and Lindsay Mendez.

Other stars in attendance included Outstanding Solo Performance winner Billy Crudup, Three Tall Women‘s Glenda Jackson and Laurie Metcalf, Lobby Hero nominee Brian Tyree Henry, and Carousel nominee Joshua Henry.

Andrew Garfield, Lauren Ambrose, & More Broadway Stars Accept Their Outer Critics Circle Theatre Awards!

Andrew Garfield and Lauren Ambrose step out to accept their awards at the 2018 Outer Critics Circle Theatre Awards on Thursday (May 24) at Sardi’s in New York City.

The winners of the awards were announced a couple weeks ago and the recipients gathered to accept their prizes.

Andrew won Outstanding Actor in a Play for Angels in America and Lauren won Outstanding Actress in a Musical for My Fair Lady.

The other winners in attendance included Three Tall Women‘s Glenda Jackson (Outstanding Actress in a Play) and Laurie Metcalf (Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play), SpongeBob SquarePantsEthan Slater (Outstanding Actor in a Musical), Angels in America‘s Nathan Lane (Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play), My Fair Lady‘s Norbert Leo Butz (Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical), Carousel‘s Lindsay Mendez (Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical), and Harry Clarke‘s Billy Crudup (Outstanding Solo Performance).

Tina Fey was joined by husband Jeff Richmond to accept Outstanding Book of a Musical for Mean Girls.

Outstanding New Broadway Musical went to SpongeBob SquarePants and Outstanding New Broadway Play went to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
