Josh Hutcherson and Liev Schreiber are enjoying their time on set together!

The pair were spotted on the set of their new film Across the River and Into the Trees on Tuesday (December 15) in Venice, Italy.

The movie takes place in post-WW2 Venice and is based on Ernest Hemingway‘s novel of the same name. Liev plays American Army Col. Richard Cantwell, a heroic war veteran visiting his old haunts in Venice whose plans change after a chance encounter with a young woman. Cantwell’s romantic interest will be portrayed by Italian actress Matilda Day Angelis, who recently played Elena Alves opposite Nicole Kidman in HBO’s The Undoing.

The film was initially announced in 2016 with Pierce Brosnan attached to star, per Deadline. Production began in October of this year under COVID-19 guidelines according to Variety.

Liev Schreiber is celebrating his son Kai‘s birthday!

The 53-year-old Ray Donovan actor took to Instagram on Sunday (December 13) to share a sweet message on his son’s 12th birthday.

“Happy Birthday Kai!!! I love you beyond beyond,” Liev wrote along with a photo of Kai posing with balloons.

Naomi Watts, Kai‘s mom and Liev‘s ex, also took to Instagram to celebrate Kai‘s birthday.

“Happy Birthday to Kai!! Your beautiful spirit, wicked humor and quick mind inspire us all. I feel so lucky to be your mummy. Every day you blow me away. The depth of your thinking is truly special, you are my angel 😊😊😊,” the 52-year-old actress wrote along with a bunch of photos.

Liev and Naomi also share 13-year-old son Sasha.

Tony Goldwyn is taking over for Liev Schreiber in a new movie.

The 60-year-old Scandal actor will be replacing the 53-year-old Ray Donovan actor in the upcoming biopic about tennis great Richard Williams titled King Richard, The Wrap reports.

Liev had to leave the movie due to a scheduling conflict.

Will Smith stars in the film as Richard, who is the father of Venus and Serena Williams. The story depicts how Richard, with no tennis background, overcame tremendous hardship and drew up at a 78-page plan for the girls’ professional tennis careers when they were just children.

Tony will be playing tennis coach Paul Cohen, who mentored the Williams sisters along with John McEnroe and Pete Sampras.

Production for King Richard began earlier this year, but had to be shut down because of the pandemic. At the time, none of Liev‘s scenes were shot. You can check out pics of Will in costume on set here!

The cast also includes Jon Bernthal, Aunjanue Ellis, Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton.

As of right now, King Richard is set to be released on November 19, 2021.

Liev Schreiber puts his toned arms on display while shooting some hoops at a downtown park on Wednesday (September 30) in New York City.

The 52-year-old actor was joined at the park by his 13-year-old son Sasha (not pictured) while playing some basketball.

Last month, Liev was seen going shirtless during a beach day!

Liev and Naomi Watts may have split up years ago, but they are still super close and he wished her a happy birthday on social media this week.

He shared a photo of her on Instagram and said, “Happy Birthday Mama!!! xo Sasha, Kai, and Dad.”

Last week, Liev told fans that he has already voted in the upcoming presidential election and he encouraged them to do the same. He said, “Got it done early! So easy. Went to local Board of Elections. Find yours!”

Liev showed off his buff bod going shirtless as he went for a quick dip in the ocean.

Liev and Taylor have been spending a lot of time in The Hamptons this summer. A few weeks ago, the couple spent the day at the beach with Scout and a few of their friends.

Earlier this summer, Liev reunited with the original X-Men cast for a virtual hang out!

The 52-year-old Ray Donovan actor showed off his muscles while wearing a red, cut-off shirt while arriving at the beach with his new puppy on Monday afternoon (August 11) in The Hamptons, New York.

Joining Liev at the beach was his girlfriend Taylor Neison along with a few friends.

Back in July, Liev revealed that he adopted a new puppy named Scout, after his beloved puppy Woody tragically died after being hit by a car.

“New guy. His name is Scout. Thank you to Tee and all the good people @tobiessmalldogrescue,” Liev wrote on Instagram along with the photos of his new dog.

Early on during the beginning of the pandemic Liev and Taylor were spotted out on a bike ride.

Ryan Reynolds just loves messing with Hugh Jackman!

As part of the Global Citizen: Unite for Our Future benefit special, Hugh reunited with X-Men co-stars Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, and Famke Janssen on Zoom.

“Honestly it’s kind of surreal you guys, I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since the first X-Men movie,” Hugh said, just before Ryan popped up on the screen.

“Ryan, the cast and I were all just reminiscing about the movie that we’re in together,” Hugh said to Ryan, who does not appear in the original X-Men movie in 2000, but stars in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Hugh then tries to kick Ryan off the reunion, but Ryan revealed that he invited a few other X-Men actors into the call.

Sophie Turner and James McAvoy, both from X-Men: Dark Phoenix, then appear on screen for a brief moment before everyone starts signing off.

“Oh sorry, I actually thought this was a Game of Thrones reunion,” Sophie joked. “Bye!”

“I actually have a James Bond reunion Zoom now,” Famke said, to which Halle responded, “Oh God me too,” before they both signed off.

“Split reunion,” James said, while Patrick added, “Star Trek.”

Then it was just Ryan and Hugh.

“Just you and me Logan, you know what that makes this a reunion for?” Ryan said to Hugh before, Liev Schreiber popped in for a second to yell, “X-Men Origins reunite!”
