The debut teaser trailer for Netflix‘s star-studded film The Harder They Fall is finally here!
Here’s a synopsis: When outlaw Nat Love (Jonathan Majors) discovers that his enemy Rufus Buck (Idris Elba) is being released from prison he rounds up his gang to track Rufus down and seek revenge. Those riding with him in this assured, righteously new school Western include his former love Stagecoach Mary (Zazie Beetz), his right and left hand men — hot-tempered Bill Pickett (Edi Gathegi) and fast drawing Jim Beckwourth (R.J. Cyler)—and a surprising adversary-turned-ally. Rufus Buck has his own fearsome crew, including “Treacherous” Trudy Smith (Regina King) and Cherokee Bill (LaKeith Stanfield), and they are not a group that knows how to lose. The film is directed by Jeymes Samuel and written by Samuel and Boaz Yakin.
The film does not have a release date just yet but is expected sometime this year.
LaKeith Stanfield is apologizing for being a part of a Clubhouse conversation that turned anti-Semitic.
On Wednesday (May 5), the 29-year-old actor co-moderated a conversation on the social media site where users talked about controversial leader of the Nation of Islam Louis Farrakhan‘s 2018 remarks where he compared Jewish people to termites, The Daily Beast reports. They also spread vile conspiracy theories about Jewish people controlling the slave trade and talked about Adolf Hitler in a positive light.
After the situation was reported, LaKeith took to Instagram on Friday (May 7) to apologize for his involvement.

The 32-year-old Get Out actor and the 29-year-old Sorry to Bother You star, who are also Judas and the Black Messiah co-stars, looked sharp at the 2021 Academy Awards on Sunday (April 25) at Union Station in Los Angeles.
Lakeith Stanfield is sharing his true thoughts on awards shows in an Instagram post that was quickly deleted after it went live.
The 29-year-old actor is nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars this year for his work in Judas and the Black Messiah.
Lakeith took to Instagram on Monday night (March 29) to react to a new report that the Oscars producers might let nominees appear at the show via Zoom after previously saying that everyone must show up in-person if they wish to participate. There was major backlash over that policy, so now that producers are trying to smooth things over with talent.
Lakeith shared a screencap of Deadline‘s article and captioned it, “No one cares lmao.”
In the comments section of the post, Lakeith added, “Real stuff is happening. Who cares about awards.” The post has since been deleted, but a screencap is floating around on Twitter.
Lakeith Stanfield goes shirtless under his tweed jacket in this shot from his Flaunt magazine cover story.
The 29-year-old actor, wearing Bottega Veneta in the feature, opened up about taking on the role of William O’Neal in Judas and the Black Messiah – a role that just earned him his first Oscar nomination.
“I realized that in order to be able to play him, I had to find some human element that aligned me with him,” Lakeith told the magazine about playing the role of the historical Black Panther member and secret FBI agent.
He adds, “People aren’t only what they do. There’s a multiplicity and complexity to what it means to be human, and I wanted to find those details, to see if I couldn’t attack it from that way.”
Lakeith added that he can’t “really seek to ‘justify’ what he did, because to me that’s kind of the same as judging it. But I did want to just understand…What I came up with was better than my initial judgement, which was just like ‘F*** this guy, he’s just this fearful coward, he sold out Chairman Fred Hampton.’ While there may be some truth to some of those things, I think he wanted to be free. He wanted the same things that Chairman Fred Hampton wanted—to an extent. Freedom. To be free from the shackles of things that you feel are oppressing you.”
Lakeith also opened up about playing the villain in the movie.
“Sometimes things that are heroic don’t always look heroic…Sometimes you have to say and do things that are maybe not so favorable, for the betterment of pushing and moving things forward, and making a better life,” he says. “All of those things to me, are heroic things. If you can live life in the spirit of that truth, then you, my friend, are a hero.”
The latest trailer for Judas and The Black Messiah has just arrived.
In the film, LaKeith Stanfield plays FBI informant William O’Neal, a petty thief who fed information that led to the death of Black Panther leader Fred Hampton, played by Daniel Kaluuya, in exchange for his freedom.
