Kodi Smit-McPhee suits up to save the world in this still from his upcoming movie, 2067.

Here’s the movie’s summary: By the year 2067, Earth has been ravaged by climate change and humanity is forced to live on artificial oxygen. An illness caused by the synthetic O2 is killing the worlds’ population and the only hope for a cure comes in the form of a message from the future: “Send Ethan Whyte”.

Ethan (Smit-McPhee), an underground tunnel worker, is suddenly thrust into a terrifying new world full of unknown danger as he must fight to save the human race.

2067, also starring Ryan Kwanten, is out in theaters, On Demand and digital on October 2.

The first trailer for CBS All Access’s Interrogation was just released today.

The series is based on a real-life case that spans more than 20 years, centering on a young man charged and convicted of brutally murdering his mother. After being sentenced to life in prison, he continued to fight to prove his innocence.

Each episode is structured around interrogations informed by real police case files.

Peter Sarsgaard, Kyle Gallner, David Strathairn, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Andre Royo, Ellen Humphreys, and Vincent D’Onofrio all star in the show, premiering on February 6th.

Eddie Murphy and Kodi Smit-McPhee arrive for the premiere of their Netflix movie Dolemite Is My Name at Village Theatre on Saturday (September 28) in Westwood, Calif.

The 58-year-old Coming to America star was joined by longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher.

Dolemite Is My Name is a biographical comedy directed by Craig Brewer. Eddie plays filmmaker Rudy Ray Moore, best known for portraying the character of Dolemite in both his stand-up routine and a series of blaxploitation films, starting with Dolemite in 1975.

Co-stars Craig Robinson, Keegan-Michael Key (accompanied by wife Elisa Pugliese), Mike Epps, Luenell, Tituss Burgess, Wesley Snipes (accompanied by wife Nakyung Park), Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Ron Cephas Jones were also in attendance.

The O’Jays, Tracy Morgan, Sugar Ray Leonard, Ruth E. Carter, Bobby Rush, Jesse Williams, Karrueche Tran, Keenan Ivory Wayans, Bob Odenkirk, Samuel L. Jackson and Obba Babatunde also came to the premiere.

The 23-year-old actor, best known for his work as Nightcrawler in the X-Men franchise, promoted Dark Phoenix at the event on August 3 and 4.

For the first day, he wore a Boramy Viguier outfit, a red and black Vetements hoodie, Pearls Before Swine earring and rings, and Timberland shoes.

The 22-year-old actor opened up with the glossy about how he personally connected with his Dark Phoenix character, Nightcrawler, through spirituality.

“I find that a lot of things I express naturally in Nightcrawler is because I’m a lot like him—aside from the fact that he’s a blue mutant with superpowers,” Kodi says. “I have a huge love for spirituality and philosophy and mythology. I have a huge passion for educating myself about myself in relation to the universe.”

He also shared a book he was reading that inspires him.

“There’s a book called ‘Be Here Now’ by Ram Dass. I call it the little blue book. It has beautiful little illustrations expressing the life of Ram Dass,” Kodi shared. “He was so successful in the Western world, materialistically and financially, but he kept questioning his life.”

“He studied science, psychedelics, and he questioned the use of psychedelics and their effect on humans–sometimes healing depression, sometimes answering the mysteries of life itself.”
