Jesse Williams has nothing but love for his former Grey’s Anatomy co-star Sarah Drew, who was let go from the hit ABC series after season fourteen.

“That’s my buddy,” the 37-year-old actor told Us Weekly at the 2018 Debbie Allen Dance Academy Fall Soirée Fundraising Celebration in Beverly Hills on Thursday night (November 1).

“We absolutely talk and see each other regularly, happily, easily. She’s a tremendous, tremendous actress who has a film out now. She produced it and she’s starring in it. She’s a tremendous, tremendous person,” Jesse added. “That is the light of my career on the show, being her acting partner.”

At the event, Jesse was joined at the event by Debbie Allen herself, Tina Knowles, Justin Chambers, Scandal‘s Khandi Alexander, Mary Hart and James Pickens Jr.

Mark Wahlberg and wife Rhea Durham hit the red carpet for the premiere of his new film Patriots Day held during 2016 AFI FEST held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday night (November 17) in Hollywood.

The 45-year-old actor was joined at the premiere by his co-stars Michelle Monaghan, Kevin Bacon, Khandi Alexander, and Alex Wolff.

Patriots Day tells the story of the aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing as the police and investigators fight the clock to track down the bombers.

The film is set to hit theaters on December 21.
