Keke Palmer is opening up about experiencing career burnout, how she has pushed through, and what she’s looking forward to next.

The 27-year-old entertainer is the first-ever digital cover star and creative advisor for Refinery29′s Unbothered.

“I’ve been burnt out many times. It’s just kinda what happens when you push yourself, and unfortunately when you’re the kind of person that I am, [someone] who takes on so much at one time,” Keke said about career burnout.

Keke said that she sometimes reaches a point where she doesn’t want to be around anyone.

“When I really need a break to rejuvenate, I don’t wanna be around anyone,” she said. “Not a romantic person, not a friend, not a mom, not a dad, not a sister, not a brother, not anyone. It gets to the point where I’m exerting so much energy that I really just have to be around no one.”

One thing she is looking forward to is starring in Jordan Peele‘s next horror film.

“GIIIIRRL! It’s just the kinda thing that’s serendipitous. Things are aligned. It’s like the things you wish for actually coming to fruition,” she said.

Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya are about to be co-stars!

The 27-year-old entertainer and the 31-year-old actor will star in Jordan Peele‘s upcoming project, THR reported on Tuesday (February 16).

“🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾,” Keke simply said on Instagram, along with the news.

Project details are being kept under wraps at this time, but we do know that Jordan also wrote and is producing the film, which already has a July 22, 2022 release date.

Daniel famously starred in Jordan‘s Get Out. He will also be starring in and producing the upcoming movie adaption of Femi Fadugba’s debut novel The Upper World. Get more details!

Keke recently got candid about her health, and something she’s always been battling.

Keke Palmer is opening up.

The 27-year-old True Jackson, VP star got candid on her Instagram on Tuesday (December 1) in discussing her battle with polycystic ovary syndrome.

“Hey you guys, for some of you this may be TMI, but for me my platform has always been used for things much greater than me. Poly Cystic Ovarian syndrome has been attacking me from the inside out my entire life and I had no idea. My acne has been so bad that people in my field offered to pay for me to get it fixed. I tried EVERYTHING. I did Accutane TWICE. People say drink water, have a better diet, but I did all that, I ate all the ‘right’ things, my blood tests were fine. But it took ME taking a personal look into my family that has a history of diabetes and obesity, to understand what was ACTUALLY happening with me. And unfortunately doctors are people and if you don’t ‘look the part’ they may not think that’s your problem. They may not even suggest it if you ‘look healthy’ whatever that means! I came to a doctor in tears once and all they offered was a measles vaccine… Exactly,” she wrote.

“I’m posting this to say that it’s okay and we can help ourselves. My skin has made me sad many nights but I do not give up on myself. I know this is not me and my body has been looking for help. I do not have a medical degree but I did the research and took what I learned to a doctor and that led them to a proper diagnosis. I’m not saying trust web md for everything haha but what I am saying is no one can help us like we can help ourselves. This especially makes me sad because my family struggled for years and no doctor could help them, they actually mislead them and just took their money. It’s only because of what my family sacrificed that allows me to even have the resources to share the information I’m sharing with you! Their fight out of poverty gave me a better life and I just want to share what I learn 🙏🏾,” she continued.

“The least harmful thing PCOS can bring is acne. To all the people struggling with this please know you’re not alone and that you are still so f–king fine! MY ACNE AINT NEVER STOPPED ME. But we don’t have accept this. Now I can really help KEKE! And I love her so it’s ON. Pray for me on this journey and I will pray for you too. I’m not afraid to show myself to the world and you shouldn’t be either ❤️”

Keke Palmer recently made an appearance at this big event.

Bebe performed her new song “Baby I’m Jealous” and she rode on the Jennie-O float. Tori performed her holiday song “25th” and she rode on Lifetime’s Christmas in Times Square float.

Not all of the stars appeared live on Thanksgiving Day and some of them had pre-taped segments, which were filmed on 34th Street in front of the Macy’s flagship store.

It has been exactly 10 years since the beloved teen comedy Easy A, starring Emma Stone, hit theaters and we’re taking a look back at the film’s red carpet premiere!

The star-studded event took place on September 13, 2010 at what was then called Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Emma was joined on the red carpet by Taylor Swift, who was one of her best friends at the time. It’s not clear if they are still close pals, but it has been a very long time since we’ve seen them together. (They were at the same event in 2018 and we have pics of Taylor seeing Emma on Broadway in 2014)

Other cast members in attendance at the premiere included Penn Badgley, Aly Michalka, Patricia Clarkson, and Lisa Kudrow. Some special guests who were on the red carpet included Aly‘s sister AJ Michalka, Keke Palmer, Matt Lanter, Jenna Elfman, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

Keke Palmer is pulling double duty at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards!

Along with hosting the awards show, which aired on Sunday (August 30), the 27-year-old actress and singer took to the stage for a performance of her new song “Snack.”

For her performance, Keke rocked curly hair while wearing a neon yellow body suit, a matching visor, and rainbow-colored boots. As for her male dancers, they also rocked neon yellow outfits, while staying safe in face masks.

Ahead of the awards show, Keke took a moment to announce that the show was dedicated in honor of Chadwick Boseman, just a few days after his death.

The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards were dedicated to the late Chadwick Boseman.

Host Keke Palmer made the announcement at the top of the show.

“We dedicate tonight’s show to a man whose spirit touched so many,” she shared. “He is a true hero, not just on screen, but in everything he did. His impact lives forever.”

The VMAs are also planning to air an “In Memoriam” segment with other dedications throughout the show tonight.

Chadwick sadly passed away on Friday, after years of battling stage IV colon cancer, at the young age of 43.
