Kristin Chenoweth Reunites with Dove Cameron for 'Schmigadoon' Premiere in NYC!

Kristin Chenoweth and Dove Cameron are back together!

The frequent co-stars reunited on the red carpet for the premiere of their new Apple TV+ series Schmigadoon! on Monday night (July 12) at the Whitby Hotel in New York City.

For those who don’t know, Kristin and Dove previously played mother-daughter duos in the Disney Channel movie Descendants and the NBC special Hairspray Live.

Other stars in attendance at the premiere included Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Alan Cumming, Jane Krakowski, Ariana DeBose, Jaime Camil, and Ann Harada, as well as co-creator Cinco Paul, director Barry Sonnenfeld, and executive producer Andrew Singer.

Schmigadoon! premieres globally on Apple TV+ on Friday (July 16) with two episodes, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday. The six-episode musical comedy series stars Strong and Key as a couple on a backpacking trip designed to reinvigorate their relationship who discover a magical town living in a 1940s musical. They then learn that they can’t leave until they find “true love.”

'Schmigadoon!' Trailer Finds Cecily Strong & Keegan-Michael Key Trapped In a Musical - Watch Now!

The trailer for the new Apple TV+ series Schmigadoon! has arrived!

The new six-episode comedy series is executive produced by Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels and it’s a parody of iconic Golden Age musicals.

The series follows Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key as a couple on a backpacking trip designed to reinvigorate their relationship who discover a magical town living in a 1940s musical. They then learn that they can’t leave until they find “true love.”

The show also stars Alan Cumming, Kristin Chenoweth, Aaron Tveit, Dove Cameron, Ariana DeBose, Fred Armisen, Jaime Camil, Jane Krakowski and Ann Harada. Martin Short guest stars.

The first two episodes will premiere globally on Friday, July 16, 2021 exclusively on Apple TV+, followed by one new episode weekly every Friday.

Keegan-Michael Key Gets Mistaken for Jordan Peele During 'Saturday Night Live' Monologue - Watch!

Keegan-Michael Key is making his Saturday Night Live debut!

The 50-year-old actor made his hosting debut on the NBC sketch comedy series on Saturday (May 15).

“I have been a super fan of this show ever since I was a little kid,” Keegan-Michael shared during his monologue. “I grew up a block south of 8 Mile Road in Detroit and I used to sneak downstairs to watch SNL every week and if you had told that kid that one day he would be standing here on this stage.”

“He probably would’ve been too busy stealing your wallet to have heard what you said,” Keegan-Michael continued. “But I’ve come a long way since then and I am so honored to be here. And because of that, I am going to make the most.”

Later during his monologue, Keegan-Michael took questions from fans in the audience, where he got mistaken for his Key & Peele co-star Jordan Peele.

“Hi, big fan. What was it like winning an Oscar for Get Out?” the fan asked.

Keegan-Michael responded, “Oh so close,” which garnered laughs from the audience.

Anya Taylor-Joy & Keegan-Michael Key Set to Host SNL with Musical Guests Lil Nas X & Olivia Rodrigo!

Anya Taylor-Joy and Keegan-Michael Key are both making their Saturday Night Live debuts!

The show’s official Twitter announced the news on Monday (May 3).

Keegan-Michael Key is set to host first on May 15 and will be joined by “Driver’s License” singer Olivia Rodrigo as the musical guest.

Anya will then host the show’s season finale on May 22, with Lil Nas X set to perform.

Lil Nas retweeted the announcement and added that he’d be performing a new song alongside his hit single, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”, while Olivia shared the news on Instagram and captioned the post with a series of crying emojis.

A few weeks ago, it was announced that Elon Musk would be hosting this Saturday’s episode (May 8) and fans have been very vocal with their outrage over the decision.

A source also revealed that show creator Lorne Michaels would allow cast members who were uncomfortable with the choice to sit out of the episode.

Judd Apatow's Upcoming Netflix Movie Has a Star-Studded Cast - See the Full List!

Judd Apatow is getting back in the director’s chair for his very first movie at Netflix and he has set up a star-studded cast list for the project.

The upcoming comedy is called The Bubble and it is set during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Deadline reports that the “film follows a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a film. The pic couldn’t be more timely as more and more productions are ramping back up even as Covid-19 remains in full effect around the world.”

Judd co-wrote the movie with Lady Dynamite creator Pam Brady and he is also producing the film.

Did you know that Judd has only directed six other feature films? His other credits are 2005′s The 40-Year-Old Virgin, 2007′s Knocked Up, 2009′s Funny People, 2012′s This is 40, 2015′s Trainwreck, and 2020′s The King of Staten Island.

Cynthia Erivo & Joseph Gordon-Levitt Join Disney's 'Pinocchio' as Blue Fairy & Jiminy Cricket!

The cast of Disney’s live-action Pinocchio is coming together!

A few stars joined the cast today including Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket!

Also announced today, according to THR, are Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as the voice of Pinocchio, and Keegan-Michael Key as the voice of Honest John, and Lorraine Bracco as the voice of Sofia the Seagull, a new character.

Tom Hanks will be portraying the role of Geppetto. The movie is set to begin production this month and will debut at a later date on Disney+.

This Pinocchio project is not to be confused with a completely separate Pinocchio project in the works that has a totally different (yet still star-studded) cast!

Keegan-Michael Key To Star As Private Eye & Produce ABC's 'August Snow'

Keegan-Michael Key is about to solve some crimes on primetime television.

According to Deadline, the 49-year-old actor is set to star and produce ABC’s upcoming August Snow drama series.

The series will center on the title character, who is a biracial former detective who grew up in Detroit’s Mexicantown. After a distinguished military career, he joined the force like his father, only to be drummed out by a conspiracy led by corrupt cops and politicians.

August hit back, winning an $18 million wrongful dismissal lawsuit, then packed his bags to travel the world. The series will open with August returning home to the city he has deep affection for in search of himself and reconnecting with his roots while also facing enemies on both sides of the law.

He then becomes a private investigator, a Robin Hood from the hood, gathering a group of unexpectedly talented misfits to help him solve cases, invests his money to help reinvigorate his city in despair, and save himself along the way.

The series is based on Stephen Mack Jones‘ novels of the same name.
