Disney is getting us so excited for the release of Jungle Cruise!
Disney, and their streaming service Disney+, released a new poster and new action-packed trailer for their upcoming movie starring Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed that Jungle Cruise is officially headed to theaters, and will also debut simultaneously on Disney+ for an extra fee under their “Premiere Access” for an additional $29.99.
The Rock announced the news on his Instagram account.
The 47-year-old Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw actor and the 37-year-old A Quiet Place actress team up in the upcoming film.
Here’s the synopsis: [Jungle Cruise] is “a rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat.”
It continues, “Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities—possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.”
A Jungle Cruise boat at Disney World sunk into the water with passengers on board!
The mid-ride incident happened at Magic Kingdom Park on Thursday (February 27) in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Witnesses posted footage on social media, showing passengers standing up inside the boat as water rose up around their legs.
Everyone on board was safely rescued, but later photos show the the boat almost totally submerged, with only its roof visible and one employee on board.
“Our boat on the jungle cruise sank today. Fun times! #wdw,” one person tweeted, adding, “The water in the boat was about a foot and half. Happened about noon. We went from floating to sunk in about a minute. Everyone was fine and we were rescued in about 20 minutes.”
“Imagine riding Jungle Cruise for the first time and thinking THIS IS PART OF THE RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!” another person wrote. See another funny reaction below.
Employees called upon the Reedy Creek Fired Department to respond to the incident, People reports. The ride is now reopened.
Here’s a plot summary: inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s Jungle Cruise is an adventure-filled, Amazon-jungle expedition starring Dwayne Johnson as the charismatic riverboat captain and Emily Blunt as a determined explorer on a research mission. Also starring in the film are Edgar Ramirez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons and Paul Giamatti.

The co-stars were there to debut the trailers for their upcoming movie Jungle Cruise. They unveiled not one, but two different looks at the movie.
The competing trailers each showed Dwayne and Emily acting as the film’s hero. Those of us not at the convention will hopefully will get the chance to see them soon!
“The movie will be big and epic,” Dwayne told the crowd. “It has romance, comedy, big action, and most importantly, it has me.”
