Tiger King's Joe Exotic is in Coronavirus Isolation While in Jail, Husband Reveals

Joe Exotic is in coronavirus isolation while in jail.

Speaking with Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM Radio Andy show on Wednesday (April 1), the 57-year-old Tiger King star’s husband Dillon Passage revealed that Joe has been placed “on a COVID-19 isolation” behind bars.

“We speak like three to five times every day, but since he’s been moved to this new facility, they are putting him on a COVID-19 isolation because of the previous jail he was at, there were cases,” Dillon shared. “I’ve yet to speak to him since he moved.”

Andy then asked if Joe “is in his own COVID-19 quarantine,” and Dillon responded, “From what I know, yes.”

Joe is currently serving a 22-year jail sentence after he was found guilty for paying a hit man $3,000 to kill his sworn enemy Carole Baskin.

Former 'Tiger King' Employee Talks Joe Exotic, Big Cats & More in Reddit AMA

A former employee of Joe Exotic is opening up about the zookeeper who was brought to fame in Netflix’s Tiger King docuseries.

While remaining anonymous, the former employee answered a ton of questions that fans had about Joe, his husbands, working closely with the big cats, and with PETA, too.

“I stayed with Joe for nearly 5 years and in that time I learned a lot of good and bad about the animal industry,” the employee wrote. “I met some wonderful people and some terrible people. I even have been engaged to twice to previous employees of the park. One I am happily married to and the other whom took her own life.”

He added that he was “one of the lucky ones to get away from this lifestyle and have managed to be happy in the aftermath of Joe Exotic, many others have not been as fortunate.”

The former employee did answer about the truth to the documentary.

“I think the overall story arch was pretty accurate and the basis behind each person was done properly. Joe really did have multiple husbands, Doc is a pervert version of Hugh Hefner, and Jeff is a player. But there was some evens that I do not think they captured properly such as the first or how they portrayed Joe as an Actor in front of the camera for the purpose of being in front of the camera.

He continued, “I would say that two of the people that chose to be in the documentary portrayed their stories fairly accurately, but the majority of those involved were mostly looking to increase the drama for their 15 minutes of fame.”

Margot Robbie… as Joe Exotic?! It’s an idea that’s actually being talked about right now!

Robert Moor, who hosted the podcast about the Tiger King star, is opening up about his ideas for the casting of the upcoming limited series about the crazy story. The podcast is being adapted into a series with Kate McKinnon playing Joe‘s rival Carole Baskin.

“We’ve been talking over a lot of names,” Robert told Radio Andy about the casting for Joe. “Names we were throwing around were like Sam Rockwell. My preferred casting — and this is a bit off the wall — would be Margot Robbie. I think Margot Robbie should play Joe in like a gender switch [thing].”

“Look at her eyes,” he added (via People). “That’s the thing if you look at her eyes, she has these eyes that are just like Joe’s … I think she would do a great job with it.”

Robert also said that he thinks “John C. Reilly should play Doc Antle, I like that one a lot.”

Joe Exotic Doesn't Sing His Own Songs - Here's Who the Real Singer Is!

Joe Exotic has become the biggest celebrity of the moment thanks to a little Netflix documentary titled Tiger King.

In the doc, Joe shows how he is a man of many talents, which includes a music career.

His most infamous song being “Here Kitty Kitty,” where he sings about sworn enemy Carole Baskin allegedly killing her husband and feeding him to her big cats.

It is now being revealed that Joe doesn’t actually sing his songs!

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Rick Kirkham, who was featured in Tiger King as the producer of Joe‘s reality show, reveals that Joe‘s music is really by The Clinton Johnson Band members Vince Johnson and vocalist Danny Clinton.

“One time, Joe got a little bit drunk and high, and we actually coaxed him into singing part of one of the songs. He couldn’t even hold a tune,” Rick shared. “It was just so ludicrous. It was a big joke within the crew and staff that it wasn’t him [singing in the videos]—but he was damned insistent to anyone and everyone, including us and my studio crew, that that was him.”

Vince and Danny, who has sadly passed away, first got involved with Joe when he asked them to make songs for his reality show for free. They agreed, thinking the show would give them exposure.

Joe
would give them a subject to write about, and then they would come up with a song for him. However, the band didn’t know that Joe would try to pass off the songs as his own.

“It was a couple of months and two or three songs [into the collaboration] when I was on YouTube one night and just happened to look up Joe Exotic,” said Vince. “And there he was, lip-syncing and acting like the ghost of Elvis [in these music videos].”

Vince continued: “He bamboozled me about his reality show—that it was coming soon and he would make everything right as rain. I just wanted the proper credit.”

In the end, Vince said he and Danny ended up going along with the ruse because they didn’t expect the songs and music videos to ever go anywhere.
