Judy Garland's 'Wizard of Oz' Missing Dress Was Found After Almost 50 Years

Almost 50 years after it went missing, Judy Garland‘s iconic blue and white gingham dress has finally been found.

Actress Mercedes McCambridge gifted one of the dresses that Judy wore in the 1939 film Wizard of Oz to the Catholic University of America in 1972, but just a year or so later, it went missing.

Finally, in 2021, the mystery has been solved.

Zaila Avant-garde Becomes First Black American Student to Win Scripps Spelling Bee - See the Winning Word!

Zaila Avant-garde, a 14-year-old from Louisiana, has become the first black American student to win the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

The finals were held in Florida on Thursday night (July 8) and 11 kids competed in the round after advancing from virtual rounds.

Zaila is now the first African-American to win the competition in the Spelling Bee’s 93-year history. She’s also the first Louisiana resident to win and only the second Black student to win. Jody-Anne Maxwell from Jamaica became the first Black winner back in 1998.

Remaining Portion of Miami Condo Building Has Been Demolished, 10 Days After Collapse

The remaining portion of the Champlain Towers South building has been demolished.

It has been ten days since a portion of the building collapsed, leaving over 100 people missing and dozens of people dead.

The 136-unit apartment complex called Champlain Towers, which is located in Surfside, Florida, partially collapsed at around 1:23am on June 24. It was originally reported that 99 people were missing and that one person had died. The missing count and the death toll have both risen significantly.
