Heather Morris Addresses Lea Michele's Behavior Controversy In New Interview: 'We Absolutely Could've Stepped Up Then'

Heather Morris is opening up about the controversy surrounded Lea Michele‘s mistreatment of her co-stars on the Glee set.

In a recent interview on the “Everything Iconic With Danny Pellegrino” podcast, the 34-year-old actress and dancer reflected on why she nor any of the cast said much about Lea‘s behavior during filming.

“I remember getting so much shade and people were like, ‘Why don’t you go out and say it?’ And I’m like, ‘Guys, she’s pregnant and all this stuff is going around,’” Heather recalled about how the controversy exploded on social media. “And it’s true, I don’t know if maybe we were victims of bullying, and it’s a very victim thing to do to blame yourself, which is what people were saying, but … the only person who was honest about it was Naya [Rivera].”

Glee's Heather Morris Apologizes to Those Who Were Triggered by Her Mark Salling Comments

Heather Morris is apologizing to anyone who felt triggered by the recent comments she made about her late Glee co-star Mark Salling.

After someone placed a vomit face emoji over Mark‘s face in a tweet about Glee, Heather spoke out to defend the memory of Mark and said it’s “incredibly tough” to act like his death is “invisible.”

Before he committed suicide in January 2018, Mark pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. He was expected to serve four to seven years in jail and have to register as a sex offender.

Glee's Heather Morris Says It's 'Incredibly Tough' to Act Like Mark Salling's Death is 'Invisible'

Heather Morris is speaking out to make sure that the death of her Glee co-star Mark Salling is not overlooked.

It all started when Heather noticed that a fan account tweeted about Glee‘s season two Christmas episode, but included a vomit face emoji on Mark‘s face.

“the vomit face on Marks face is offensive,” Heather tweeted.

Mark died by suicide in January 2018, just weeks after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography. He was expected to serve four to seven years in jail and have to register as a sex offender.

Two other original Glee stars have passed away – Cory Monteith and Naya Rivera – and some fans only choose to remember these two stars.

One day after slamming the fan’s tweet, Heather returned to Twitter to release a lengthy statement about Mark and why she chooses to remember all three co-stars who died.

Naya Rivera's 'Glee' Co-Stars Launch Fundraiser For Her Favorite Charity

Naya Rivera is being remembered by her Glee cast in a very special way this holiday season.

Heather Morris, Amber Riley, Jenna Ushkowitz, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale and many more from the Glee cast have teamed up for the SNIXXMASs Charity Drive, which will benefit one of Naya‘s favorite charities, Alexandria House, a nonprofit organization in Los Angeles that provides safe housing for women and children.

“If you were lucky enough to know Naya, you know she threw some epic parties,” the GoFundMe page reads about the fundraiser. “The best of them all was her annual Christmas party, which she dubbed Snixxmas. Snixxmas was like Naya herself… sparkling, fabulous and one hell of a good time! But it wasn’t only glitz, glamour and gay apparel. Every holiday season, Naya found ways to give back.”

It continues, “Recently, Naya began working with a local non-profit in Los Angeles called Alexandria House. She not only raised and contributed funds for them, but also volunteered her time and effort to the organization.”

Heather also added another note on her own Instagram page, writing that Naya “always inspired me because she never let a holiday season go by without giving back to those in need. We’re keeping Naya’s spirit alive this holiday season by raising funds for one of her favorite organizations, Alexandria House. Please, give what you can and help spread Snixxmas cheer.”

Naya sadly passed away earlier this year after accidentally drowning in Lake Piru in California during a weekend trip with her only son, Josey Dorsey.

Her ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, just recently filed a wrongful death lawsuit. Get all the details here…
