Justin Timberlake Gets to Work on Upcoming Movie 'Palmer'

Justin Timberlake steps out on the set of his upcoming movie Palmer on Saturday (November 9) in New Orleans, La.

The 38-year-old entertainer was spotted on set with director Fisher Stevens.

In the new movie, Justin is playing “a former college football phenomenon named Eddie Palmer who, after a stint in prison, returns to his hometown to get his life back on track. There, he faces not only lingering conflicts from his past but also a much more surprising challenge as he finds himself suddenly in charge of a unique young boy who has been abandoned by his wayward mother,” according to Deadline.

Justin Timberlake Lands New Movie Role as Former Football Star

Justin Timberlake has landed the lead role in the upcoming movie Palmer, which will be directed by Fisher Stevens.

The 38-year-old singer and actor will be playing “a former college football phenomenon named Eddie Palmer (Timberlake) who, after a stint in prison, returns to his hometown to get his life back on track. There, he faces not only lingering conflicts from his past but also a much more surprising challenge as he finds himself suddenly in charge of a unique young boy who has been abandoned by his wayward mother,” according to Deadline.

The film’s producers John Penotti and Charlie Corwin said, “Justin and Fisher bring a resonant perspective to this emotional story. It is both timely and ultimately a hopeful, entertaining story about the resilience and power of human kindness.”

The movie is expected to begin production in the fall.

The movie, which hits theaters on November 1, was also directed and written by Edward, from the novel by Jonathan Letham.

Bruce Willis, Bobby Cannavale, Cherry Jones, Michael Kenneth Williams, Leslie Mann, Ethan Suplee, Dallas Roberts, Josh Pais, Robert Ray Wisdom, Fisher Stevens, Alec Baldwin and Willem Dafoe also star in the film.

Here’s a plot summary: set against the backdrop of 1950s New York, the movie follows Lionel Essrog (Norton), a lonely private detective living with Tourette Syndrome, as he ventures to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend, Frank Minna (Willis). Armed only with a few clues and the engine of his obsessive mind, Lionel unravels closely-guarded secrets that hold the fate of the whole city in the balance. In a mystery that carries him from gin-soaked jazz clubs in Harlem to the hard-edged slums of Brooklyn and, finally, into the gilded halls of New York’s power brokers, Lionel contends with thugs, corruption and the most dangerous man in the city to honor his friend and save the woman who might be his own salvation.

Michael Urie Opens 'Torch Song,' Gets Support from Vanessa Williams!

Michael Urie hits the red carpet with his longtime friend Vanessa Williams at the opening night party for his Off-Broadway play Torch Song on Thursday (October 19) in New York City.

The two actors starred together in the beloved series Ugly Betty for many years!

Michael was joined at the event by his co-star Mercedes Ruehl and the show’s writer Harvey Fierstein.

Other stars who attended the opening included Matthew Broderick, Fisher Stevens, and Kate Mulgrew.

Torch Song is currently playing at Second Stage in New York until December 3.

Michael Moore Leads Star-Studded Protest at Trump Tower

Michael Moore is joined by Olivia Wilde while heading to Trump Tower for a protest against President Trump on Tuesday night (August 15) in New York City.

The 63-year-old filmmaker is currently doing a one-man show on Broadway and he was joined by other stars like Olivia and her 1984 co-star Tom Sturridge, as well as that evening’s theatregoers Mark Ruffalo, Marisa Tomei, and Fisher Stevens.

“Stand up for justice, stand up for America. Trump is not a legitimate president. Trump is not America. We love America,” Olivia chanted with the crowd.

Zoe Kazan was also there and chanted, “We reject facism. We reject white supremacy. We reject neo-Nazis. We will not accept white supremacy in the White House. We will not accept violence towards black and brown people. We will not accept Nazi rhetoric in 2017. We have power, we we have voices, we will not silenced.”

Leonardo DiCaprio Tours the Garages Before Formula E's ePrix

Leonardo DiCaprio is joined by his friend Fisher Stevens while touring the garages on the eve of the Formula E New York City ePrix on Friday (July 14) in New York City.

The 42-year-old actor is an investor in Formula E and committed to making the organization more sustainable, which helped in the efforts to bring the racing to NYC for the first time.

The race will be held near the waterfront in Brooklyn and electric cars are used, which is much better for the environment and provides a quieter experience than F1 races that use engines that run on gasoline.

Leo was seen meeting up with Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag to learn about the racing circuit.
