Emmy Nominations 2021 - Full List of Nominees Revealed!

The 2021 Emmy Awards nominations are finally here after months of waiting!

The Television Academy and CBS just revealed that the show will be back, live and in person, at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles’ L.A. Live complex. Due to the pandemic, there will be “a limited audience of nominees and their guests.”

Cedric the Entertainer is taking on hosting duties this year. The 2021 Emmy Awards will air live on Sunday, September 19 at 8/7c on CBS, and will also stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

'Big Sky' Actress Brooke Smith Launches Her Own Emmy Campaign, Says ABC Won't Include Her in FYC Ads

Brooke Smith, who played Merrilee Legarski on the ABC series Big Sky, has launched her own Emmy campaign and she says the network won’t include her in their official FYC campaign.

Anyone who has watched the hit ABC series, which was just renewed for season two, knows how Brooke played an integral role in the first half of season one’s storyline.

Brooke says she can’t afford a publicist to campaign on her behalf, so she has launched a grassroots campaign to get the word out about her eligibility for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Emmys 2021 Will Have New Rules Changes in Several Categories

The Television Academy has announce a set of rules changes for the 2021 Emmy Awards.

The changes include the merging of some categories into one category and adding “Anthology Series” to the Limited Series category.

“Our annual review of Emmy rules and procedures is more important than ever,” said Television Academy Chairman and CEO Frank Scherma. “Our Awards Committee and Board of Governors undertake this annual evaluation with a very thoughtful and analytical approach to ensure that the Emmys remain relevant and in step with our industry’s ongoing evolution.”
