The trailer for Superman & Lois is here!

The first look at the highly anticipated The CW series arrived on Tuesday (December 29).

Here’s a plot summary: in Superman & Lois, after years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s most famous superhero, The Man of Steel AKA Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane (Bitsie Tulloch), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin) could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older.

Kristin Kreuk is adding her support to Emmanuelle Chriqui‘s casting as Lana Lang in the upcoming Superman & Lois television series.

Speaking to TVLine in a new interview, the 37-year-old actress brought the character, who was Clark Kent’s girlfriend, to life on The WB’s Smallville.

“I don’t know a ton about the show, but it sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun,” Kristin shared. “She’s a great character, and with the freedom that’s afforded creators right now in regards to comic book characters I think they can adjust and adapt her into a more modern position in the world.”

“She’s wonderful, and very nice,” she added of Emmanuelle. “I imagine that Lana is a very different character in a different universe. I am excited to hear about how the show portrays her.”

Kristin continues, “She’s an interesting character in the canon, so having her be in a predominant role on this new show is awesome.”

Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will reprise their roles as the title characters, as the series centers on the couple as they “deal with all of the stress, pressures, and complexities that come with being working parents to two teenage sons in today’s society.”

The CW is revealing their programming schedule.

The network announced its Fall 2020 to January 2021 schedule on Wednesday (May 13).

The forthcoming scheduled includes the finale of Supernatural, which will air this fall. The show was expected to wrap this spring after 15 seasons, but the final episodes could not finish filming due to the pandemic.

The CW will air acquired shows and unscripted shows this fall, including Swamp Thing, Tell Me a Story, Coroner and Dead Pixels.

The network also revealed their planned schedule for January 2021, including the debut of Walker with Jared Padalecki and Superman & Lois. Shows like Dynasty, Roswell, New Mexico and In the Dark are also set to return.

“This year, The CW has made the proactive strategic decision to launch its new season in January 2021, rolling out a line-up of our signature returning series which will be joined next year by our four new series, including the return of the DC’s most iconic superhero in Superman & Lois, the return of the Texas Rangers in Walker, the reimagined Kung Fu and the rebellious drama The Republic of Sarah,” said CW exec Mark Pedowitz, via Variety.

Most recently, Emmanuelle appeared as Vanessa Hudgens‘ sister in Netflix’s The Knight Before Christmas.

Brooke helps Sir Cole navigate the modern world and tries to help him discover how to fulfill his mysterious one true quest — the only act that will return him home. But as he and Brooke grow closer, Sir Cole begins to wonder just how much he wants to return to his old life.

The 16th annual fashion fundraiser supports finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
