BJ Novak is launching a series!

The 40-year-old The Office alum scored a series order for an upcoming half-hour anthology series at FX, Variety reported on Wednesday (May 6).

“Thrilled, excited, humbled — these are the words in every press release, and I can’t believe how much I actually mean them. This is my dream show, and FX is the dream place to make it. When I brought it to FX, I wondered if it went too far, and they told me, you can go further. I can’t wait to get started,” he said in a statement.

The series is described as “using the issues of our times as a jumping off point to tell character-driven stories about the world we live in today.” Two episodes have already been filmed, and each episode features a new cast.

Episode one stars Lucas Hedges, Kaitlyn Dever, O’Shea Jackson Jr., George Wallace, Ed Asner and Brendan Francis Scannell, among others.

The second episode stars Jon Bernthal, Boyd Holbrook, Amy Landecker, Beau Bridges and more.

The Office star BJ Novak will be writing, directing, and executive producing a new pilot for FX Networks and a star-studded cast is attached!

Platform is an “anthological series that uses the boldest issues of our times as a jumping-off point to tell singular, character-driven stories about the world we live in today,” according to Deadline.

It sounds like each story will be contained in each half-hour episode. Two episodes are being filmed and one is a dramatic one while the other is more comedic.

Kaitlyn Dever, Jon Bernthal, Lucas Hedges, Boyd Holbrook, O’Shea Jackson Jr., George Wallace and Ed Asner are among the actors starring in the pilot.

BJ served creative roles on both The Office and The Mindy Project, in addition to his acting commitments.

Ben Affleck got all dressed up to attend his first official appearance since he and Jennifer Garner officially filed for divorce.

The 44-year-old actor suited up in Dolce & Gabbana to attend the 1st Annual AutFest International Film Festival at AMC Orange 30 on Sunday (April 23) in Orange, Calif, ten days after he and Jennifer, 45, filed their divorce documents together.

Ben, who was honored at the event by Ed Asner for his performance in The Accountant as an action hero with autism, spoke about how he’s survived so long in the movie industry.

“Thick skin,” Ben expressed (via People). “You know you have to have a certain thickness of skin in this business because success and failure, as a performer, are really two sides of the same coin. You’re putting yourself out there and being evaluated, and it doesn’t go one way, all the way, every time.”

Paul Rudd and Jon Bernthal attend the opening night of the new Broadway play Grace on Thursday (October 4) at The Cort Theatre in New York City.

After the performance, Paul and his castmates Michael Shannon, Ed Asner, and Kate Arrington celebrated with a party at the Copacabana. Political Animals actress Carla Gugino also stepped out to celebrate!

Paul Rudd attends the premiere of For a Good Time, Call held at the Regal Cinemas Union Square on Tuesday (August 21) in New York City.

The 43-year-old actor was joined by the film’s cast Seth Rogen, Lauren Miller, Justin Long, Ari Graynor, and their director Jamie Travis.
