Debi Mazar Thinks She Could Get Coronavirus Again

Debi Mazar is opening up about how she’s feeling now, after testing positive for COVID-19 novel coronavirus.

The Younger actress spoke to ET and revealed she’s doing much better than earlier, and says she’s had every symptom known.

To help her recover, Debi shared that she’s been taking “immune boosters like zinc and oregano oil. I got Chinese medicine that they were using a lot in China to help people recover.”

However, despite being diagnosed and in recovery, Debi still thinks she “could definitely get it again in the fall.”

“I’m hoping I don’t get it again before they get the vaccine,” she added. “But your body develops immunities. So I think I’m better off than someone who hasn’t had it.”

Debi was one of many celebs who tested positive and shared her story about getting tested.

Younger's Debi Mazar Has Coronavirus, Reveals Story of Getting Tested

Debi Mazar has tested positive for coronavirus and she’s opening up about her experience with the illness.

The 55-year-old actress, best known for roles on TV Land’s Younger and HBO’s Entourage, started feeling sick about a month ago and she said the symptoms reappeared on March 15. She had to go through some hoops to get tested, but finally found an urgent care center in New York City with tests. Thankfully, she’s doing okay.

“I have just tested positive for Covid-19. I AM OK!” Debi wrote on Instagram. “About a month ago my entire home (husband and two teen daughters) got an odd bug – Low grade fever, headaches, sore throat, body aches, ears ringing and a dry cough. It cleared up quickly. Seasonal I thought? but it felt unusual/different…”

“Two weeks later, March 15th, I woke up with all those same symptoms but super intense body aches, and 102.4 fever. I figured maybe I got the flu or..Corona?😬 I had had cocktails the evening prior, and smoked a few cigarettes,” Debi continued.

“I figured I had jacked my immune system from having a fun night with friends. I called a doctor/friend to ask if I could get the Covid-19 test on 3/16. He said NO, I didn’t meet the criteria. I hadn’t recently traveled out of the country & I hadn’t been with someone who had actually tested positive. I found this kind of a CRAZY criteria for a NY’er as I had taken the subway, gone to the theater, the grocery store, the pharmacy, hair salon, etc,” Debi said. “I was the Mom who was trying to prepare the home and get supplies & bleach wipes, dry goods, extra food, etc.”

“Because we have Italian family in Italy and we follow the news closely, my biggest panic was why were they not closing schools in NYC & forbidding movement outside the home without permission, like China and all of Europe? Prospect Park yesterday, i hear was jumpin’!” Debi said. “A friend told me that CityMD/Urgent Care in my neighborhood had test kits, which appealed to me as I wanted to stay away from the hospital. I went on 3/17. First I was tested for the flu -which was negative. Then they tested me for Covid-19. I was sent home and told to quarantine myself until I had results, which would take 3-7 days (in S.Korea it takes two hours).”

“Well.. today is day 5 and I just found out. I’m hoping I’ve been through the worst of it already. Its very “morphy”. One day I feel crappy and the next I’m normal. Today my lungs are heavy, but I’m tough,” Debi concluded. “I can breathe, and I’m going to heal here, in my own home! My family is under quarantine for 14 days. They have no symptoms. I think we all had it possibly already? Who knows. Anyhow, stay home people! Protect yourselves & your loved ones. Build up your immune systems. Good Luck & God Bless us all!”

Madonna's Friend Debi Mazar Comments on Her Boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams

Madonna has been dating background dancer Ahlamalik Williams for the past few months and now one of her longtime friends is sharing her thoughts on the new boyfriend!

Ahlamalik, 25, has been spending a lot of time with Madonna, 61, and her kids these days and was with them for a holiday vacation at the end of 2019.

Younger actress Debi Mazar, who has been friends with Madonna since the 1980s, told Page Six that Ahlamalik is “lovely” and that the couple is “sweet” together.

Madonna has been forced to cancel several dates on her world tour, but Debi says the performer is “doing really well.”

“She’s strong and she has her injuries but she’s really trying to take care of her body. I talk to her regularly like, ‘You’ve got this, girl’ … I support her and I love her but it’s a moment where she has to listen to her body,” she added.
