John Mayer brought together all of his celebrity friends for his “Sob Rock” Listening Party held at San Vicente Bungalows on Thursday night (July 15) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 43-year-old musician hosted Dave Chappelle, Kiernan Shipka, Lil Nas X, and couple Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello for the listening event.

Following the release of John‘s new album, he also announced a tour in support of the record.

The upcoming concerts will kick off on February 17, 2022 at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York, and wrap in April in Chicago.

Tickets for all shows will go on sale next Friday, July 23 on his official website.

In addition to tickets, a limited number of VIP packages will also be available starting next week, and John also has plans to auction off two pairs of front row tickets for each show with proceeds benefiting the Back to You Fund.

I can get in there. And I just posed a question to the head of Lionsgate. Do you ever think about putting somebody funny in one of those movies? Comedian Dave Chappelle has just announced two new comedy shows that will have live audiences, but the attendees will be required to take a rapid Coronavirus test at the door despite your vaccination status.

You read that right: even if you’re vaccinated, you will need to take a rapid Coronavirus test. If the test is positive for any attendee and their family member, they will be denied entry to the show.

The shows will take place at Connecticut’s Foxwoods Resort and Casino in late June.

“Masks will be required at all times while in the venue,” the event page added. “Additionally, each ticket holder will receive a mandatory rapid COVID-19 antigen test, prior to entering the venue. If COVID-19 is detected by the rapid test, that individual and all members of the same household will not be allowed to enter and will be given a refund.”

Dave Chappelle‘s show is coming back to Netflix!

The 47-year-old comedian revealed that Chappelle’s Show would be returning to the streaming service on Friday (February 12) in a video posted to his Instagram.

The clip shows Dave at a stand up set in Austin, Texas as he discusses his recent COVID-19 diagnosis and shares his thoughts on the attack at the Capitol.

Dave made the announcement at the end of his performance and told the audience, “I asked you to stop watching the show and thank God almighty for you, you did. You made that show worthless because without your eyes, it’s nothing. And when you stopped watching it, they called me. And I got my name back and I got my license back and I got my show back and they paid me millions of dollars. Thank you very much.”

Netflix removed Dave‘s show in November after the comedian shared that he was unable to receive royalties from the show due to a contract he had signed with Viacom-CBS.

Dave Chappelle is currently in Texas for a series of live comedy shows and he just canceled four of them after testing positive for COVID-19.

The 47-year-old comedian is now quarantining after finding out that he tested positive for the virus. His rep told TMZ that he’s not yet experiencing any symptoms.

Dave performed his first show in Texas on Wednesday night (January 20) and now the shows for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday have been canceled.

Just a couple days ago, Dave was photographed meeting up with Elon Musk and Grimes, the latter of whom just recovered from the virus. None of them are wearing masks in the photo. She took to social media about a week and a half ago to reveal why she was “weirdly enjoying” herself while battling the virus.

Dave has been performing socially distanced shows throughout the pandemic and he reportedly has all audience members take rapid tests before entering the venue.

HBO Max is honoring Dave Chappelle‘s request to take down his show, Chappelle’s Show, from the streaming service.

The reason Dave has been asking streaming services to take down his show is because when he signed his contract years ago with ViacomCBS, it did not include anything about him being paid when the comapny licenses it to streamers like HBO Max.

“We had a conversation with Dave. I won’t get into it, but it’s very clear that it’s a very unique and specific and emotional issue he’s got,” Casey Bloys, chief content officer of HBO and HBO Max, told Variety. “So at the end of the year, at the end of this year, December 31st, we’re going to honor his request and take the show down.”

Another streaming service also honored Dave’s request to have his show taken down.
