Tom Hanks Is the Spitting Image of Hero Pilot 'Sully' Sullenberger!

Tom Hanks is the spitting image of the hero pilot Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger on the set of Sully on Tuesday (October 6) in New York City.

The 59-year-old actor was joined on set by the film’s director Clint Eastwood.

Laura Linney, Aaron Eckhart, and more are set to star in the film, which does not currently have a release date.

Sully is about the true life story of the Miracle on the Hudson, where Captain Sullenberger landed a troubled airplane on the Hudson River.

Tom Hanks In Talks for Captain Sully in Clint Eastwood's Film!

Tom Hanks is reportedly in talks to play the role of Captain Chesley Sullenberger in the upcoming Miracle on the Hudson movie being directed by Clint Eastwood!

The film will be called Sully and it is based on the book written by Chesley and the late Jeffrey Zaslow.

The story “takes a closer look at the man who became a national hero after his plane began to malfunction shortly after takeoff and he was forced to take drastic measures in order to save all those on the plane,” according to Variety.

This won’t be the first time Tom has played a famous captain. He was recently nominated for many awards for his work in Captain Phillips!

Clint Eastwood Mocks Caitlyn Jenner During Guys Choice Awards, Joke Will Be Cut From Broadcast

Clint Eastwood is in hot water for some statements he made concerning Caitlyn Jenner during the taping of Spike TV’s 2015 Guys Choice Awards.

The 85-year-old director was introducing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on stage when he referenced other athletes who had made their way into Hollywood including “Jim Brown and Caitlyn somebody…”

A rep from Spike TV told Us Weekly that the insensitive moment would be cut from the June 18 broadcast. “We will remove the reference in the version that will air,” a rep said.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Announces Special 'Rock The Troops' Event With Spike TV

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson gets choked up during his speech on stage at Spike TV’s 2015 Guys Choice Awards held at Sony Pictures Studios on Saturday night (June 6) in Culver City, Calif.

The 43-year-old San Andreas star, who took home the Troops’ Choice Award, was joined by the Biggest Ass Kicker Liam Neeson, as well as Robert De Niro, Clint Eastwood, and David Spade.

That same night, Dwayne announced that he was teaming up with Spike TV for an original special titled Rock The Troops, which will air on Veteran’s Day 2016.

According to Deadline, the special will entertain US troops serving abroad and will be filmed on location at an overseas military base to be announced soon.

'American Sniper' Is Officially 2014's Top Grossing Movie

American Sniper has officially become the top grossing movie released in 2014!

The film has now grossed $337.21 million in its domestic run, topping The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which has grossed $336.796 million so far.

While American Sniper, which stars Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller, didn’t open in wide release until mid-January, it was released in limited theaters on December 25, 2014.

The film has grossed over $475 million worldwide and it was nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture.

Emma Stone and Oprah Winfrey hold onto their LEGO Oscar statues while attending the 2015 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood.

Both of the ladies lost their awards, Best Supporting Actress for Birdman and Best Picture for Selma, respectively, but they did not go home empty-handed!

Other people who didn’t win, but took home LEGO trophies, included Felicity Jones (Best Actress nominee), Bradley Cooper (Best Actor and Best Picture nominee), Meryl Streep (Best Supporting Actress nominee), and Clint Eastwood (Best Picture nominee).

Bradley Cooper Gets Ready For His Big Night as a Nominee at Oscars 2015

Bradley Cooper makes a handsome arrival onto the red carpet at the 2015 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood.

The 40-year-old actor ran into legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood while walking down the red carpet.

Bradley is nominated tonight for Best Actor for his work in the movie American Sniper. He is up against The Theory of Everything‘s Eddie Redmayne, Foxcatcher‘s Steve Carell, The Imitation Game‘s Benedict Cumberbatch, and Birdman‘s Michael Keaton.

FYI: Bradley is wearing a custom Ferragamo tuxedo, Johnston & Murphy shoes, Montblanc cufflinks, and an IWC watch.
