The trailer for Carey Mulligan‘s new movie Promising Young Woman has been released!

The 34-year-old actress stars in the new thriller written and directed by Killing Eve showrunner Emerald Fennell.

Here’s the synopsis: “Everyone said Cassie was a promising young woman… until a mysterious event abruptly derailed her future. But nothing in Cassie’s life is what it appears to be: she’s wickedly smart, tantalizingly cunning, and she’s living a secret double life by night. Now, an unexpected encounter is about to give Cassie a chance to right the wrongs of the past in this thrilling and wildly entertaining story.”

The film also stars Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Connie Britton, Adam Brody, Jennifer Coolidge, Laverne Cox, and Max Greenfield.

Promising Young Woman will be out in theaters on April 17, 2020.

Carey Mulligan is in final negotiations to star in a new Netflix movie!

The 34-year-old actress is in talks to star opposite Ralph Fiennes in the period drama Dig.

Here’s the synopsis: “Based on a true story and set at the turn of World War II, Dig focuses on a widow with a hunch that her land contains buried riches. The hunch ultimately pays off,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Carey will be playing the widow Edith Pretty, while Ralph will be playing Basil Brown, a local archeologist that works with the widow only to see himself pushed aside by museum curators.

Simon Stone is set to direct the movie.

Spread across two locations of Palazzo Venezia and Castel Sant’Angelo, the exhibition traces the maison’s history through documents from the archives, as well as photos and films following over one hundred years of its history.
