Cardi B is opening up about her finances.

The 28-year-old “WAP” superstar spoke out in an interview with XXL Magazine.

Here’s what she had to say…

On the business of being Cardi: “One thing for sure that I’m doing a lot now this year is music and making sure my business is straight. Not just signing things and not just making sure that I get new deals and everything. That my money is getting handled great. That I got good lawyers that’s handling my s–t…one thing I told my business manager, don’t even pay my business little by little. Take it all out. I don’t want to feel like I owe nothing. It’s good to be debt-free, but either way, I feel like I’ve been on deals before that like, yeah, I got paid, but I feel like I deserved more. And I made sure this year that I get everything I deserve. Not just on music deals but on everything.”

On her worth: “Sometimes I feel like a company might see, you know, a girl like me, a colored girl like me. I’m a colored girl and I’m from the ’hood and s–t. And they might be like, ‘Oh, we could offer her a $2 million advance.’ And the company is gonna make out of you, probably f–king $50 million, $100 million. And you settle for $2 million because they think that you’re so thirsty for that money that they just gonna give you the $2 million. I hate making everything about race because race do exist. Race is real. But I hate when sometimes people just want to make everything about race. It’s just like, sometimes you do see that race really matters and s–t because I’ve been seeing some influencers, that are not, you know, like me. Caucasian influencers. And they’re getting paid big money. I’m a whole artist. And there is other artists that I know how much they’re getting paid. I’ve been doing my research now, heavy. And it’s like, Damn, muthaf–kas is getting ripped the f–k off. And that’s why I’m like, Nah, I’m gonna get everything that I deserve.”

On being called a “female rapper,” as opposed to just “rapper”: “I mean, at the end of the day, I just keep feeling like I don’t care because I am a female. It’s just like, I don’t mind if you don’t put me in a category. Like, even let’s say a billionaire, right? Like, I’d rather be the first billionaire female than just, ‘Oh, she’s a billionaire.’ I do like the identification. Like, I don’t mind it. I’m really one of those people that I love being a woman.”

Cardi B isn’t holding back on all the steamy details surrounding one of her tracks with husband Offset.

In a voice note she shared on Twitter with fans this week, the 28-year-old opened up about what happened before, during and after recording “Um Yea” with him.

“I don’t want to give you this weird, fake a** romantic, awkward story, but I remember this one time when I was in the studio with Offset and he was doing ‘Um Yea,’ the song that me and him have together,” she started.

Cardi continued, “While he was doing the song and everything, he kept looking at me and smiling and s*** while he was making the song and then I told him, ‘I want to get on the song.’”

“So I just started writing my verse and everything and he was looking at me like, ‘Oh s*** girl!’”

Cardi added that right after recording the track, she and Offset had sex.

“Um Yea” is just one of the songs that Cardi and Offset have together, which was released in 2017. They’ve also teamed up on “Lick”, “Motorsport”, and “Drip”.

Cardi and Offset were recently seen arriving back in Los Angeles together following a Valentine’s Day getaway.

The 48-year-old actress, goop founder, and queen of TMI appeared for a virtual interview on the 38-year-old singer’s talk show on Wednesday (March 24).

During their conversation, Kelly asked Gwyneth what song she listens to when she’s feeling down.

“Wet Ass P—y,” Gwyneth quickly responded without hesitation – referencing Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion‘s hit song “WAP.”

Kelly was so blown away by what Gwyneth said, that she fell out of her chair while hysterically laughing.

“I need to see the tape back,” Kelly said after gathering her composure. “Cause I felt like I was like, ‘Oh…wait what?’”

She added, “You win for favorite guest this season. That was amazing. I needed that in my soul.”

Cardi B is continuing to make history in the music world!

The 28-year-old rapper just reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with her latest song “Up,” just one week after she performed the song at the Grammys.

Cardi B extends her record to five number one songs on the Billboard Hot 100, more than any other female rapper in history. She is also the first female rapper to have two number ones unaccompanied by any other female artist.

The other number one songs from Cardi are “Bodak Yellow” in 2017, “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin in 2018, “Girls Like You” with Maroon 5 in 2018, and “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.

Cardi wrote on Instagram, “I want God to come see me in my dreams when I take my nap today so I can kiss his feet and tell him how much I love him !!! Yoooooo shit is amazing yoooooo .I got no words .Actually I got a lot of words but I can’t type it all 😩😂NUMBER 1!!!!!”
