Bill Burr is the first actor from The Mandalorian to defend his former co-star Gina Carano after she was fired from the Disney+ show.

If you’re unfamiliar, the 38-year-old actress was let go from The Mandalorian after her comparison comments about being a conservative in modern America to being Jewish in Nazi Germany went viral. Gina says she found out that she was fired from social media.

Bill, who starred as Mayfeld, said on his podcast, “It’s a weird time….Unless she did some truly horrible sh*t or said overtly racist sh*t…I don’t know. I think there is just too many channels. And then you gotta do sensational shit…I don’t know what the f*ck it is. I’m on that f*cking show. Now, I gotta watch what the f*ck I say.”

“She was an absolute sweetheart. Super nice f*cking person,” he added. “And you know whatever and somehow someone will take this video and they’ll make me say something else and try to get rid of my bald action figure…It’s how it is out there. It’s f*cking crazy times. People just waiting, laying in the weeds.”

If Gina had not sent out her tweets, she would have had a big future with the franchise according to reports.

NBC has announced the hosts and musical guests for two more episodes of Saturday Night Live, which will air in October 2020.

The season premiere of the Emmy Award-winning sketch comedy series is happening this weekend with Chris Rock and musical guest Megan Thee Stallion.

On October 10, comedian and podcast Bill Burr will be making his SNL debut as the host with country singer Morgan Wallen as the musical guest.

Issa Rae will be making her SNL debut when she hosts the October 17 episode with Justin Bieber as the musical guest, marking his fourth appearance on the show.

Saturday Night Live will continue to air live on both coasts this season.

Pete Davidson was going to make his big-screen starring debut in the movie The King of Staten Island, but the movie is going to VOD instead now due to movie theaters being shut down for the indefinite future.

The new comedy was written and directed by Judd Apatow and is a semi-autobiographical take on Pete’s life.

Here’s the synopsis: Scott (Davidson) has been a case of arrested development ever since his firefighter father died when he was seven. He’s now reached his mid-20s having achieved little, chasing a dream of becoming a tattoo artist that seems far out of reach. As his ambitious younger sister (Maude Apatow) heads off to college, Scott is still living with his exhausted ER nurse mother (Marisa Tomei) and spends his days smoking weed, hanging with the guys—Oscar (Ricky Velez), Igor (Moises Arias) and Richie (Lou Wilson)—and secretly hooking up with his childhood friend Kelsey (Bel Powley). But when his mother starts dating a loudmouth firefighter named Ray (Bill Burr), it sets off a chain of events that will force Scott to grapple with his grief and take his first tentative steps toward moving forward in life.

Steve Buscemi also stars in the movie as Papa, a veteran firefighter who takes Scott under his wing, and Pamela Adlon as Ray’s ex-wife, Gina.

The King of Staten Island is heading to VOD on June 12.

Drake is getting some heat from comedian Bill Burr.

The 32-year-old “Hotline Bling” rapper, who has been making headlines for his support of the Toronto Raptors over the Golden State Warriors during the NBA Finals, was called out by the 50-year-old comedian on his latest Monday Morning podcast on Monday (June 3).

“I watched a little bit of the NBA Finals and the fact that they’re calling Drake a superfan, it’s just like, I know it’s a business, I know it’s about money, but that guy is the furthest thing from a superfan,” Bill said.

“A superfan is there through thick and thin. Where the f–k has this guy been? All of the sudden, Drake comes in, who’s a super bandwagon fan, to the point he has to wear a f–king wristband or a headband on his fucking arm because he’s got tattoos of the jerseys of the players on the other f–king team.”
