The new Netflix movie Army of the Dead is out today and we caught up with actress Ana de la Reguera, who plays Maria Cruz, to learn more about her.

The Mexican-born actress is best known for her work in shows like Eastbound & Down, Goliath, and Narcos. She’ll be seen in the upcoming movie The Forever Purge, the latest entry in the popular Purge franchise.

Ana will also be reprising her role as Maria Cruz in the animated spinoff series Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas.

Army of the Dead has a big cast featuring Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Tig Notaro, Raúl Castillo, Huma Qureshi, Samantha Win, Richard Cetrone, and Michael Cassidy.

The movie will hit select theaters on May 14 and become available to stream on May 21.

The highly anticipated Zack Snyder-directed zombie flick is hitting Netflix on May 21, the streamer confirmed on Sunday (February 21).

Here’s a plot summary: “Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.

The film was first announced in June of 2008 as a direct sequel to 2004′s Dawn of the Dead at the time, and faced over a decade of waiting in development limbo. It is still unclear whether the film is intended to be a direct sequel.

The cast includes Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Garret Dillahunt, Tig Notaro, Raúl Castillo, Huma Qureshi, Samantha Win, Richard Cetrone and Michael Cassidy.
