Mindy Kaling, Pete Davidson, & More Celebs Remember 9/11 Attacks 15 Years Later

Today marks the 15th anniversary of the devastating 9/11 attacks that took 2,996 lives.

Celebrities, many of whom lived in New York City at the time, took to social media to remember those who lost their lives that Tuesday.

Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davison sadly lost his father, who was one of the brave firefighters.

“Can’t believe tomorrow is going to be 15 years. Missing the legend !!! Thank u all for ur kind words and support as always #werememberthem,” he wrote on Instagram.

Mindy Kaling wrote on Instagram, “I moved to New York City after college in August of 2001. I knew it was the greatest city in the world, the way all of us do who don’t come from there, implicitly but vaguely. A month later I would experience why. The way New Yorkers came together after the Towers were attacked was a wonder of the world. When the worst thing in humanity happened, it brought the very best in the people of New York. I remember it so vividly, as a scared unemployed aspiring playwright who spent the days walking around New York trying to get a job babysitting or waitressing. I love you New York. I love you New Yorkers. I will never forget. This beautiful cover is by Art Spiegelman.”
