Several stars were noticeably left out of the In Memoriam segment at the 2021 Academy Awards.

During the ceremony, which aired on Sunday (April 25), the Oscars took a moment to remember those we have lost this year.

The In Memoriam segment honored late stars like Chadwick Boseman, Kelly Preston, and Christopher Plummer.

However, fans did notice that several important figures had been left out of the segment.

Those left out of the In Memoriam included Naya Rivera, Jessica Walter, and Adam Schlesinger.

While she was best known for her role in Glee, Naya did appear in several movies, such as the 2017 movie Mad Families.

Jessica, who starred in the TV series Arrested Development, also appeared in several films, including the 1971 movie Play Misty for Me, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

Adam was the frontman for The Fountains of Wayne and was nominated at the 1997 Oscars for Best Original Song for “That Thing You Do!”

This isn’t the first awards show Naya has been left out of the In Memoriam tribute. Back in March, fans were outraged when the 2021 Grammys didn’t include her in the tribute.

The best moment of the 2021 Oscars didn’t even get airtime during the main show, but you can thankfully watch it right here!

Unfortunately the producers of the show made the decision to air all of the Best Original Song nominee performances during the pre-show and many fans didn’t tune in to see them.

Molly Sanden, the Swedish singer who was Rachel McAdams‘ voice double in Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, gave an incredible performance of “Husavik (My Hometown)” and it’s a must watch.

The performance was filmed on location in Husavik, Iceland with a children’s choir joining her on stage to perform the song. The stunning backdrop of the city, complete with fireworks and the Northern Lights, helped created a magnificent moment that is a sight to see.

Renee Zellweger and Joaquin Phoenix, who won the top acting awards at last year’s Oscars, returned for the 2021 Academy Awards to bestow the awards on this year’s winners.

The Oscar-winning stars were the final two presenters of the evening during the event held at Union Station on Sunday night (April 25) in Los Angeles.

Renee was up fist and presented the Best Actress award to Frances McDormand for Nomadland. This marked her third acting win and her fourth overall Oscar win after winning Best Picture just minutes earlier.

Joaquin was the final presenter of the night and presented the Best Actor award to Anthony Hopkins for The Father. He wasn’t present at the awards show, so Joaquin accepted the award on his behalf.

FYI: Renee is wearing a custom Giorgio Armani Privé peony pink strapless silk gown with draped satin lapels at the neckline and a dramatic front slit, accented by a delicate crystal-embroidered trim. She completed her look with Jimmy Choo shoes and Cartier jewelry.

Dua Lipa is giving a dazzling performance at Elton John‘s 2021 Oscars Party!

The 25-year-old Grammy-winning singer performed her hits “Levitating,” “Pretty Please,” “Hallucinate” and “Don’t Start Now” at the Oscars viewing party hosted by the 74-year-old entertainer.

For her performances, Dua donned two super chic looks – she first wore a velvet, black gown before changing into a sparkling, silver dress.

After her solo performances, Elton took to the piano to perform his songs “Bennie and the Jets” and “Love Again” with Dua.

For the past 29 years, Elton and husband David Furnish have been hosting an Oscars viewing party, with proceeds going to their Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Due to the pandemic, Elton sold virtual tickets for his party, which had a very limited amount of guests in-person. With all the tickets sold this year, Elton‘s party raised $3 million for the global effort to end AIDS!

Chadwick Boseman sadly didn’t win the Oscar for Best Actor tonight, but his wife Simone Ledward Boseman was there to accept the award on his behalf in the chance he would win.

Simone looked stunning in a bespoke Atelier Versace gown and Bulgari jewelry while attending the event at Union Station on Sunday (April 25) in Los Angeles.

According to Versace, “crafted from 35 meters of coral silk cady and georgette, the dress elegantly drapes around the body. Taking over 260 hours to construct and 300 hours to embroider, the striking design is enriched with 20.000 Swarovski accents that give off a marble effect. In an additional touch of gold, an embroidered band defines the neckline and balances the gown’s volume.”

Chadwick‘s longtime stylist Ashley Weston wrote on Instagram, “Thank you, Chadwick, for surrounding us with your love tonight. Everything about today felt so right. Simone Ledward Boseman in custom Atelier @Versace and @Bulgari.”

Twitter erupted when Chadwick lost the award, but people were mainly furious with the way the producers of the Oscars handled the moment.

It was a historic night at the 2021 Academy Awards!

A lot of firsts took place during the 93rd Oscars, which aired on Sunday night (April 25).

The 2021 Oscars already had historic nominations, with Steve Yeun becoming the first-ever East Asian American actor to be nominated for Best Actor, Riz Ahmed was the first Muslim actor nominated for Best Actor, and Chloe Zhao becoming the first woman of Asian descent to be nominated for Best Director. This year’s ceremony also marked the first time two women were nominated for Best Director – Chloe for Nomadland and Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Woman. Zendaya appears to be the only celebrity who wore a mask while sitting inside Union Station during the 2021 Oscars and fans are sending her so much praise!

The 24-year-old actress, who was a presenter at the show, wore a yellow mask that matched her dress while attending the event on Sunday (April 25) in Los Angeles.

Throughout the show, whenever Zendaya was spotted sitting at her table in the audience, she always had her mask on while the majority of other people sat there maskless.

Regina King, who was the first presenter of the night, told the audience about the evening’s mask protocol and said they were treating it like a movie set: when the camera is rolling, the masks can come off, and when the camera stops rolling, the masks go on.
