Joey King Reveals How Patricia Arquette Gave Her That Bruise at Golden Globes 2020

Joey King suffered a bruise on her forehead at the 2020 Golden Globes and now she’s revealing exactly what happened!

The 20-year-old The Act actress took to social media to show off the bruise and she said her co-star Patricia Arquette accidentally hit her in the head with her Golden Globe.

“Patricia and I were in the video photo booth elevator at the InStyle afterparty and we were trying to do a funny little skit, where we were singing opera. And as I was taking a bow, she raised her Golden Globe statue up and whacked me in the forehead,” Joey told THR. “Those statues aren’t light at all!”

She added, “You know, it felt pretty great. If I’m gonna get hit in the head with anything, it might as well be my friend’s Golden Globe.”

Joey‘s mom added, “Joey and Patricia were doing one of the skits in the elevator photo booth at the InStyle party and Patricia was pretending to be an opera singer, wearing a horned hat. Patricia threw her arms up in the air, as Joey was taking her top hat off to take a bow, and Patricia smacked her in the head accidentally!”

Here's Why Tom Hanks Said He Has Five Children at Golden Globes 2020 When He is Father of Four

Tom Hanks raised a few eyebrows during his speech at the 2020 Golden Globes.

While being honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award on Sunday night (January 5) at the awards show, the 63-year-old actor emotionally thanked wife Rita Wilson and his “five children” for always supporting him.

“A man is blessed with a family sitting down front like that. A wife who is fantastic in every way, who has taught me what love is,” Tom said. “Five kids who are braver and stronger and wiser than their old man is…and a loving group of people who have put [up] with me being away months and months and months at a time.”

While Tom is only technically father to four kids – sons Colin, Chet, and Truman and daughter Elizabeth – he also included Colin‘s wife Samantha as one of his children.

A source shared with People that Tom “thinks of Sam as a daughter.” How sweet!

Colin and Samantha married in 2010 and share two kids.

Golden Globes 2020 Ratings Slightly Slip, Reaches 8-Year Viewer Low

The ratings for the 2020 Golden Globes are in!

Viewership for the annual ceremony, hosted by Ricky Gervais, slightly slipped from last year, drawing in 18.325 million viewers and a 4.7 rating among adults 18-49, according to the Live+same day Nielsen numbers.

The numbers were down 2% in total viewers and down 11% in the demo from the 2019 award show, which was hosted by Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh.

According to Deadline, the 2019 show had the advantage of a stronger lead-in as NFL playoff game that preceded it ended six minutes before the Globes start time, whereas this year’s game ended 21 minutes before the ceremony’s start.

The ratings mark an eight-year low for the program, with the 2012 show drawing in 16.85 million viewers.

Despite the dip, the Globes still brought in the evening’s second-highest audience with the top slot going to the NFL broadcast.

Here's the Reason Why Brad Pitt Didn't Mention His Kids in Golden Globes 2020 Acceptance Speech

Brad Pitt won a Golden Globe for his work in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and some fans were left wondering something after his acceptance speech.

Brad didn’t mention his six children with his ex Angelina Jolie during the speech.

A source close to Brad reportedly told TMZ that the reason he omitted his kids from his speech was actually strategic, as “he never mentions them publicly and wants it to remain that way.” Brad believes that by mentioning his kids, it could cause them unwanted attention.

The couple shared Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11.

Maddox recently spoke about the rumors about his relationship with Brad and addressed where they stand.
