Tom Hiddleston has released an official apology statement for his acceptance speech at the 2017 Golden Globes after he was criticized for being “self-indulgent.”

The 35-year-old actor won an award for his work on the limited series The Night Manager and he told a lengthy story about how the people of South Sudan said that they watched and enjoyed the series. He said he was glad to bring the people there some enjoyment during their hard times.

People on social media felt that Tom was just giving himself a pat on the back and he initially responded to criticism by saying we need to do our best to help others. He later said his nerves got the better of him.

Billy Eichner got into a Twitter feud with Meghan McCain, the daughter of Republican senator John McCain, after she slammed Meryl Streep for her speech at the 2017 Golden Globes.

After the legendary actress called out Trump for mocking a disabled reporter, Meghan blamed her and other Hollywood elite of getting the President-elect elected.

“This Meryl Streep speech is why Trump won. And if people in Hollywood don’t start recognizing why and how – you will help him get re-elected,” she tweeted.

Billy responded to the comment by saying, “Um she asked him not to make fun of disabled people and advocated for the freedom of the press and the arts you f–king moron.”

So many celebs are speaking out after Donald Trump took to Twitter to call Meryl Streep an “overrated” actress following her speech at the 2017 Golden Globes.

The legendary actress, who was honored with a lifetime achievement award at the event, called out the President-elect for mocking a disabled reporter and she called it the most memorable performance of the past year.

Donald said that Meryl, a three-time Oscar winner, is “one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood” and suggested that he should not be attacked by someone who does not know him personally.

Moonlight won the top prize at last night’s 2017 Golden Globe Awards!

The film took home the award for Best Motion Picture – Drama, beating out Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water, Lion, and Manchester By the Sea, and stars Janelle Monae and Naomie Harris could not be more proud.

“All love and all pride in this house” CONGRATULATIONS to my entire #MOONLIGHT family on receiving last night’s best picture @ the #GoldenGlobes 🙏🏿,” Janelle, 31, captioned with her Instagram post, featuring the whole cast.

Both Janelle and Naomie switched up their red carpet looks to attend InStyle & Warner Bros. Party held following the 2017 Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Also in attendance at the party was xXx: Return of Xander Cage star Deepika Padukone, Constance Wu, Billy Brown, Amaury Nolasco, Ben Robson, Alan Tudyk and his wife Charissa Barton.

FYI: Janelle is wearing an Edition by Georges Chakra strapless jumpsuit. Naomie is wearing a Armani Prive gown paired with Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
