'Loki' Showrunner Reveals There's Something Special About Frog Thor's Appearance in the Latest Episode

In a blink and you’ll miss it moment in the latest episode of Loki, you maybe saw a frog trying to jump out of a glass jar in The Void.

The frog was revealed to be another variant of Thor, Loki’s brother, showrunner Kate Herron confirmed in a new interview.

But there’s something special about the grunt that comes out of the frog…

Kate also confirmed that the grunt was Chris Hemsworth‘s voice – and it wasn’t an old recording either.

“We recorded Chris Hemsworth for that, by the way,” she shared during her interview with For All Nerds. “We recorded him for that. His voice going ‘Ahhh!’ That’s a whole new recording. Not recycled. He recorded that.”

If you’re not caught up yet, The Void is a desolate landscape where those who are “pruned” by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) end up, and head writer Michael Waldron opened up about all the Easter Eggs that fans have spotted and have yet to spot.

“There were a few I wrote in there. I think that I was probably more focused on, ‘Alright, how the hell do we make Alioth make sense?” he shared. “It was kind of a team effort getting that stuff in there. Like the Thanos-copter, that was the production team. They did an amazing job really making the episode a treat for fans in that way.”

Over the weekend, it was revealed if Loki was indeed the most popular Marvel series or not.
