Kate Middleton Makes First Appearance Following Recent COVID Exposure, Attends Wimbledon with Prince William

Kate Middleton and Prince William had front row seats to watch the women’s final at Wimbledon!

The 39-year-old Duchess of Cambridge and the 39-year-old Duke of Cambridge were in attendance for the match between Ashleigh Barty of Australia and Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic on Saturday (July 10) in London, England.

Barty won the match and become the first Australian woman to win the Wimbledon single’s title in 41 years. Sitting behind the royal couple to watch the match was tennis legend Billie Jean King.

This marked Kate‘s first public appearance since it was announced that she was self-isolating due to contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace announced this past Monday, “Last week, The Duchess of Cambridge came into contact with someone who has subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. Her Royal Highness is not experiencing any symptoms, but is following all relevant government guidelines and is self-isolating at home.”

Kate previously attended the first day of the Wimbledon tournament.
