'Sex/Life' Costume Designer Reveals Story Behind Pink Leather Jacket Worn By Sarah Shahi

The Sex/Life costume designer is opening up about just where you can find the pink jacket that Sarah Shahi wore in the Netflix series.

However, you might be disappointed about the answer.

After noticing that fans were curious on where to find a jacket just like Sarah‘s, costume designer Avery Plewes revealed that the jacket is a one-of-a-kind design.

“I’ve been getting lots of comments and DMs about Billie’s leather jacket, so here’s the scoop: It was actually scripted by @littleruke!” she wrote on Instagram, tagging the show’s creator Stacy Rukeyser.

The series actually worked with Canadian fashion designer Izzy Camilleri to create three different options before they “landed on this one.”

“The leather came from New York. Sarah and I wanted it to feel ever so boxy (particularly in the shoulders) to harp on the fact that it came from a vintage store and wouldn’t be a ‘perfect’ fit,” Avery added.
