The first trailer for Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac‘s new limited series has been released!

The two Golden Globe winners play a couple struggling in their marriage in HBO’s upcoming series Scenes from a Marriage.

Scenes from a Marriage is an adaptation of a 1973 Swedish miniseries from Ingmar Bergman. The new series, which will be written and directed by The Affair co-creator Hagai Levi, “re-examines the show’s iconic depiction of love, hatred, desire, monogamy, marriage and divorce through the lens of a contemporary American couple.”

Jessica wasn’t actually the first choice to star in the series. Originally, this actress was cast in the leading role.
