Chris Harrison Is Leaving 'The Bachelor' Franchise & Receiving a Huge Payoff (Report)

Chris Harrison is reportedly moving out of Bachelor Nation.

The longtime television host will be exiting the franchise for good, Deadline reported Tuesday (June 8).

Find out what happened…

If you didn’t know, Chris faced backlash earlier this year after supporting contestant Rachael Kirkconnell over photos that surfaced of her participating in a slave plantation-themed fraternity formal. After apologizing, he revealed he’d be “stepping aside” from Matt James‘ season of the show.

Chris Harrison was the host of The Bachelor and its spinoffs since 2002.

He will reportedly receive a “mid-range eight-figure payoff and promise to keep his mouth shut,” via the news outlet. There are public statements expected to be released later this week.

Chris Harrison‘s reps have been in “increasingly intense negotiations” over the past few days with WBTV and ABC regarding money, and a confidential settlement with the producers was reportedly reached after Monday night (June 7).

His lawyer Bryan Freedman allegedly pledged to expose The Bachelor’s “alleged dirty laundry” in negotiating the finances of his exit.

Last week, it was reported that David Spade and other celeb guests would be guest-hosting the next season of Bachelor in Paradise.
